Police are on the hunt for a man after a car was torched in a Dundee street.

A man was seen to light a bottle of flammable liquid and throw it at a car parked in a driveway on Baldovie Place, Douglas.

The VW Up car was left extensively damaged in the attack, which police say happened on Monday November 27.

The fire service were called out to the scene, but a spokeswoman said the fire was extinguished prior to their arrival.

Police now want to track down a man, around 5ft 10in wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.

A spokesman for Police Scotland added: “While it is appreciated that this happened over a week ago and was quite late at night, the consequences of this incident could have been horrendous, and it is hoped that someone in the area may have seen the described person running off, or otherwise know who they are.
