Car ends up on busy Dundee roundabout but driver is nowhere to be seen

The Five Ways roundabout near Strathmartine Road

Locals were greeted to a surprise this morning when a car seemingly became stuck in the Five Ways Roundabout in Dundee.

However, there was no one present, leading to speculation that a driver had simply abandoned the vehicle, perhaps after taking a slide on the ice.

Police are investigating how the car ended up on the junction, which links Strathmartine Road (north and south), Strathmore Avenue, Caird Avenue and Moncur Crescent, after receiving calls at 7am.

A spokesman said inquiries are ongoing.
