A cannabis grower was rumbled by police after plumbers were called to his property to investigate a leak coming from his home.
Thirty-three-year-old Anthony Anderson, of Pitalpin Court, openly admitted having the plantation to officers when they called at his flat at 2.30am.
Anderson opened the door and invited them in, fiscal depute Kate Irwin told Dundee Sheriff Court.
The smell of the plants led the officers to his plantation.
Ms Irwin said that plumbers had been called by Anderson’s downstairs neighbours after water started coming through their ceiling from Anderson’s flat.
She added that there were 18 cannabis plants in total.
Eight of the plants were mature and 10 were saplings.
Anderson admitted producing cannabis at his flat on February 2.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond told solicitor Ross Bennett that she would defer sentence until May 18 for reports and a restriction of liberty order assessment and for Anderson to appear personally.
