Dundee United have handed Canadian internationalist Marcus Haber a trial at the club.
The 27-year-old striker hopes to impress Tannadice boss Ray McKinnon after reporting for training in St Andrews today.
Haber previously had a two spells in Tayside. He joined St Johnstone on loan from parent club West Brom in 2010.
The following year he joined the Saints on a permanent deal. During that season he made 31 appearances and scored two goals.
After a promising start in Perth, Haber’s career was interrupted by a serious knee injury.
The last two seasons he has plied his trade at Crew Alexandra.
Haber is a member of the Canadian national team and made his debut against Ukraine in 2010. To date he has earned 23 caps.
Meanwhile, Dutch trialist Christian Supusepa has left Tannadice without being offered a contract.
“He was decent but he wasn’t the type we are looking for so we’re not taking that any further,” said Ray McKinnon.
