Main Street Cafe and City Church are giving out free school uniforms to people in Dundee who need them.
It’s part of a partnership with Tesco South Road, which has asked families to donate their old uniforms. People can collect them from both locations today.
Dundee City Council announced earlier this year that it would be making changes to the school clothing grant system, allowing more families to receive an automatic award.
Anne Stocks, community engagement officer at City Church, said the scheme was designed to help those who have missed out on qualifying for a clothing grant.
She added: “If you don’t qualify for a clothing grant, it doesn’t mean you have enough money to buy a uniform.
“The credit needs to go to South Road Tesco. They decided to run a school uniform collection last summer and gave us some clothes to distribute.”
