Boy, 12, indecently assaulted at Dundee bus stop by teen wearing blue blazer and tie

A boy, 12, has been indecently assaulted at a Dundee bus stop.

Officers are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Pitkerro Road, Dundee.

It happened near to Baxter Park between 3.25pm and 3.40pm on Wednesday.

Officers are looking to trace a male youth who was in the area at the time who may be able to assist police with enquiries.

He is described as being aged in his teens, with black hair, swept to the side at the front, dark skin and dark eyes.

He was wearing a dark blue buttoned jacket or blazer and tie.

Officers would also like to trace a woman who was walking three young children in the area at the time. She is described as having red hair and would have walked past the bus stop.

Detective Constable Matt Millar said: “The young boy was not injured in any way. However, this has understandably been an upsetting incident for him and a thorough investigation to establish the full set of circumstances is ongoing.

“Incidents of this type are extremely rare and we have had no other similar reports at this time.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time and who witnessed the incident or who saw any of the people described to contact us on 101 using reference number 1369 of 14 February.”
