Music fans from the local area are to be offered first dibs on tickets for a huge BBC festival coming to Tayside.
Named the Biggest Weekend, BBC Music will host events in four cities across the UK with Perth being named as one.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Bird’s will headline the local date at Scone Palace on the weekend of Friday May 25 and Saturday 26.
Residents living in Dundee postcodes are entitled to make a claim on tickets allocated to a special “pot” for local residents.
While the majority of tickets – 60% – will be reserved for those living in the Perth and Kinross council area, 25% are reserved for people living in DD, FK and KY postcodes.
In all, 175,000 tickets are being released for the four Biggest Weekend shows across Perth, Belfast, Swansea and Coventry.
Tickets are prices at £18 per person with a £4.50 booking fee. They go on sale on Monday February 12 at 8.30am.
