Residents have been told to look out the sun cream today as the heatwave continues across Tayside and Fife continues.
The mercury hit 22C in some areas, with peak temperatures of about 20C in Dundee.
And the weekend’s good weather is set to continue into today — with many people will be off enjoying the bank holiday.
Antonia Caira, who owns Visocchi’s cafe in Broughty Ferry, said the sunny weather had left staff at the Italian eatery “rushed off their feet”.
Antonia has been serving ice cream to generations of locals from the Gray Street venue which was opened by her late husband Marco.
She said: “We were absolutely non-stop yesterday, people were in constantly and it will be the same today – busy, busy.
“The good weather always brings in loads of people for ice cream.
“I would expect that to carry on until the bank holiday Monday as well.
“With the good weather it’s always good for business, and great to see families out enjoying the sun.”
Yesterday saw temperatures reach 23C in Dundee.
The city will be a cooler 20C today, but the sunshine will continue into Tuesday, which will is expect to see a high of 18C.
