People from the LGBT community have been urged to consider fostering and adopting.
Members of Fife Council’s family placement team were part of the parade at the Fife Pride festival in Kirkcaldy to raise awareness and talk to interested people, with a large response from those keen to find out more.
Linda Fraser, family placement team manager, said: “We urgently need people who can care for older children, help sibling groups stay together and provide permanent homes.
“We are calling on people who have the right skills and qualities to foster and adopt to come forward and help a child belong.”
Anyone wanting to find out more about fostering should go to foster.fife.scot or call 01383 602235.
