Former Dundee talisman Greg Stewart looks more and more likely to be playing in Scotland next season, according to reports.
Aberdeen appear to be the front-runners to land the 27-year-old on loan from Birmingham City.
That is despite Blues boss Harry Redknapp last week saying no Scottish club could afford the former Dee striker’s wages.
However, the Press & Journal reports that The Dons have not given up on their man.
With long-term admirer Derek McInnes opting to stay at Pittodrie and the extra cash from Jonny Hayes’ move to Celtic it could be that Aberdeen stump up for the forward.
McInnes is desperate to add to his suad after a number of first team players departed at the end of last season.
Harry Redknapp previously admitted that three SPFL Premiership sides had expressed an interest in bringing the former dark blue back north of the border – the Dens Park side were among the teams interested.
No formal approach has been made for Stewart.
