Around 20 firefighters fought for more than two hours to bring a blaze at Dundee’s Wester Gourdie Industrial Estate under control.
The fire broke out in an industrial unit on Nobel Road just before 11pm.
It is understood a security guard alerted emergency services who raced to the scene.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said that four appliances battled what she described as a “significant blaze.”
However, it is understood that there were no casualties and no one had to be rescued from the building.
She said: “We received a call at 22.54. Four appliances, two from Macalpine Road and two from Blackness Road went to the scene.
“They used a main jet, four safety jets and four sets of breathing apparatus to fight the fire.”
The metal clad unit belongs to Fazteck International.
The blaze was brought under control by 1.33 am.
