A young girl who died after being hit by a car in Fife has been named.
Robyn Knox from Cardenden was struck by a blue Nissan Micra at about 10.10am on Monday in Main Street, Townhill.
Emergency services attended and the three-year-old girl was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, where she died a short time later.
Sergeant Stephen Quinn, of Road Policing East, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of Robyn at this extremely difficult time.
“I wish to send my thanks to the emergency service crews and members of the public who assisted at the scene.
“I would also like to reiterate my request that the privacy of the family is respected during this time.”
