A woman has been charged after the alleged extortion of a pensioner in Aberdeen over several weeks.
The 78-year-old woman is said to have been approached on several occasions between Wednesday June 17 and Tuesday July 7 in the city centre and made to withdraw cash.
A 28-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incidents.
Julie Hayworth was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday and a trial date was set for December 21.

“It is vital that we ensure the vulnerable people in our communities are kept safe from these types of incidents.
“If you suspect that someone you know is being taken advantage of, I urge you to report your concerns to police and 101 and they will be investigated.”
