Port Vale have midfielder Tom Conlon available again for the visit of leaders Swindon after completing his three-match ban.
Shaun Brisley also sat out the 2-2 Boxing Day draw at Mansfield but he is closing in on a return to action after a hamstring injury .
On-loan midfielder Jake Taylor, who Vale are hoping to sign on a permanent deal from Nottingham Forest, missed the Stags trip with a knee problem but manager John Askey hopes he will be fit to face Swindon.
Manny Oyeleke (hamstring) and Adam Crookes (groin) are long-term injury absentees and remain sidelined.
Swindon will be checking on the fitness of a number of players as they look to continue an impressive run of form that has yielded 25 points from a possible 27.
Jordan Lyden (thigh) has not played since early December but was on the bench for the Boxing Day win over Cambridge, while Tom Broadbent, who has been absent since November, has been battling a calf issue.
Rob Hunt (illness) and Zeki Fryers (hamstring) also sat out the 4-0 mauling of Cambridge, with Ellis Iandolo and Gabriel Zakuani coming into the line-up.
It remains to be seen if any of those players will be risked against Vale but Swindon boss Richie Wellens could ring the changes anyway due to what he has described as a “gruelling schedule”.
