Peterborough will check on the fitness of George Cooper, Louis Reed and Matt Godden as they look to clinch a play-off spot against Burton.
Midfielders Cooper (ankle) and Reed missed the win at Portsmouth through injury while striker Godden was absent in midweek because of illness.
Reed and Godden could return to contention but the performances of Ivan Toney, who scored twice in Peterborough’s 3-2 victory at Fratton Park, and Josh Knight are likely to keep them on the substitutes’ bench. Centre-back Ryan Tafazolli has been playing despite a knee problem and he will be assessed.
Posh need to win on Saturday and then hope Doncaster fail to beat Coventry if they are to finish above Rovers in sixth place and qualify for the play-offs.
Burton’s strong finish to the season has had a bit of the gloss taken off it by Liam Boyce’s injury.
The striker is unlikely to be risked on the final day of the campaign after suffering an ankle injury at Southend on April 22, which subsequently saw him miss the home win against title-chasing Luton.
Defender Jake Buxton (calf) and goalkeeper Brad Collins (groin) could return but winger David Templeton (knee) will continue to miss out.
Burton have won six of their last 10 matches, losing just twice, and another victory could see them finish eighth in the table.
