A man has died after a vehicle crash this morning on the A90 north of Dundee.
Emergency services were called to the scene after a vehicle appeared to have ploughed into the back of a parked Asda lorry.
A Police Scotland statement said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a man sadly died as a result of a road traffic collision on A90 near Gallowfaul, Tealing, Angus this morning.
“Enquiries are continuing and no further details will released until next of kin have been informed and formal identification has been carried out.”
Three fire units, along with the heavy rescue unit from Macalpine Road in Dundee, were called to the incident near the junction with the A928 – on the northbound carriageway – just after 6.10am.
The smash involved a vehicle and an Asda lorry parked in a lay-by.
Multiple ambulances were sent to the scene.
