Emergency services have been called to Monifieth after a man took ill on a path near the seafront.
Police, ambulance and fire personnel are in the town close to Tayview Caravan Park on Marine Drive.
An ambulance and fire engine are parked just off Ferry Road, near the pedestrian bridge over the railway line.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We are currently in attending a very serious medical matter at Tayview Caravan Park.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a crew had been called out. A spokesman said: “We are assisting the Scottish Ambulance Service at an incident in Marine Drive in Monifieth.”
