A large section of the A92 remains closed after a van caught fire following a crash with a car.
Both carriageways of the road were initially closed at the Lochgelly Interchange after a lorry and a car collided, but the eastbound side was later opened.
In a a statement. Police Scotland said: “We can now advise that the collision on the A92 at the Lochgelly interchange involved two articulated lorries.
“As a result of this incident both vehicles are now on fire and emergency services are in attendance.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.”
