An investigation is under way after a man was left seriously hurt after a Dundee street attack.
Police say the incident happened at a bus stop on Liff Road, near to the junction with Buttars Loan, at around 4.45pm on Monday.
The 45-year-old sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.
Officers are looking to track down the culprit believed to be a man wearing a dark-coloured hooded top.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Officers are keen to for any members of the public who may have witnessed the assault to contact them and in particular a female who was believed to have been at the bus stop a short time before the assault occurred.
“Anyone with any information regarding this incident should call Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any police officer.”
