St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson is out of Saturday’s away game against Kilmarnock due to a hamstring injury.
However, he will definitely be OK for the first post-split game.
Saints boss Tommy Wright said: “Murray has a Grade 1 hamstring tear but should be back in time for the first game after the split.”
Dave Mackay, Craig Thomson, Steven Anderson and Steven MacLean are all out, although Liam Craig is back from suspension.
Danny Swanson and Chris Millar have been suffering knocks but should be OK.
Tommy went on: “Last Saturday’s game against Dundee United was an opportunity to guarantee a top-six finish but, unfortunately, we’ve left ourselves with a bit of work to do.
“We know a point at Kilmarnock this Saturday will take us over the line and it’s still very much in our own hands.
“The fixture against United didn’t go according to plan.
“We didn’t start until we went 1-0 down but, from then on, we were the better side.”
Tommy and his staff attended the Saints Hall of Fame dinner and Tommy was glad of the opportunity to see ex-players being honoured.
He said: “It was great to see former players recognised for their services to the club.
“It was a fine turnout and a great event which I very much enjoyed.”
