One person has been airlifted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following a road crash in Tayside.
Three-vehicles were involved on the M90 southbound between junctions 6 and 9, near to the Crook of Devon.
One car came to rest in a field. The Scottish Air Ambulance was called and one person is being airlifted to hospital, another is being taken by ambulance.
Both casualties are described as being seriously injured, but the extent of the injuries is not known.
The southbound carriageway was closed following the smash just before 10.30am. One lane is due to reopen shortly.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “Three ambulances and helimed were dispatched to the M90 near Crook of Devon.
“Casualties are being conveyed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee – one by air the other by ambulance.”
