Police are appealing for information after a grandmother was killed in a Fife road crash.
Audrey Thom died from her injuries in Ninewells Hospital on Thursday morning following the incident on Tuesday.
A grey Mazda 3 and a white Renault Traffic van were involved in the collision on the A914 between Dairsie Roundabout and Balmullo.
Audrey, 58, was a passenger in the Mazda travelling northbound. The driver of the southbound-travelling van sustained minor injuries.
In a short statement, her family said she would be ‘sadly missed’.
It read: “Audrey was a much loved wife, mother to three daughters and very recent granny. She will be sadly missed.”
Police are now urging anyone who can assist with their inquiries to come forward.
Road Policing Inspector Brenda Sinclair said: “We are still making inquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.
“We are asking anyone who was in the area at the time and saw these vehicles or who witnessed the collision, to contact us on 101.”
