A Tayside woman who was reported missing having been last seen walking over the Tay Road Bridge has been traced.
The 52-year old was found safe and well in St Andrews last night.
Police began a search for Ann Nicoll Taylor from Muthill, Perthshire, on Friday.
Ann was last seen in the car park at the Fife end of the Tay Road Bridge at about 9.15pm that evening after she was seen walking over the bridge.
On Saturday, the Broughty Ferry lifeboat crew were asked to search the River Tay by police officers but, following an extensive search, were later stood down.
Today, Police Scotland confirmed Ms Taylor had been found safe and well.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “Police Scotland can confirm that Ann Nicoll Taylor was traced safe and well in St Andrews yesterday evening.
“Thanks for your assistance in this matter.”
