Former Dundee United star Ryan Gauld made a dream first team debut for Sporting Lisbon last night.
The 19-year-old came on to the field as a substitute in the 65th minute.
Things instantly got better for the 2.2m man who has spent the majority of his time in the Portuguese giant’s B-side.

The Scotland U21 international played an instrumental part in his side’s third goal moments later.
Pulling off a neat nutmeg on an opponent, he played the ball out wide to former Manchester United star Nani who then crossed the ball for striker Joao Mario to head home.
Sporting went on to win the game 4-2.
The teenager’s appearance last night followed a man of the match performance in a cup game against Boavista on Thursday.
Back in August, Gauld scored his first goal for Sporting with a defelcted effort from the edge of the box.
