Three Perthshire groups have been awarded a total of 20,000.
Hostel Hub, Atholl Baptist Centre and Checkin Works were given the cash by banking firm Santander as part of its social enterprise development awards (SEDA), which are given to groups aiming to grow their activities and make improvements to their local community.
In total, 146 social enterprises from across the UK, including 30 from Scotland, were given SEDA awards this year, amounting to 1.2 million.
Winners receive awards of between 5,000 and 20,000 to fund a specific project.
The winning social enterprises also receive a business support package from Santander which includes business webinars, full-funded internships and the opportunity to network with other social entrepreneurs.
Santander’s regional director Scotland, Graham Silcock, said that the winners have demonstrated great potential “to grow their business”.
