Forfar Academy pupils raced off into the tattie holidays with the school’s traditional end-of-term sponsored run and walk around Forfar Loch.
The event is the school’s major annual fundraiser and, as well as the charity target, there is sporting glory at stake for youngsters.
First across the finishing line was Robbie Gooderham in 38 minutes 43 seconds, followed by Paul Rennie (42.12) and Robert Norrie (44.44). The girls’ race was won by Erin Brown in 53.16, followed in joint second place by Emily Richardson and Zara Hill (1.01.08).
The fastest first year boy was Andrew Stirling (47.45), with Emily Richardson and Zara Hill taking girls’ first year honours.
Miss Carstairs upheld the staff’s sporting reputation with a time of 59 minutes and 50 seconds.
