Arbroath’s St Andrew’s Church is calling on locals to donate and make a difference in Malawi.
The project team is asking Arbroath residents to donate calculators and geometry sets they no longer need to help secondary school students in Malawi.
The equipment will go to two children’s centres in one of the world’s poorest countries.
Becky Dunphy, part of the project team, said: “The teenagers in our centres work really hard at their schoolwork, but they have almost none of the basic school equipment we take for granted. A calculator or geometry tools make maths so much easier and allows them to get through more questions in a maths exam.”
Donations can be brought to the St Andrew’s Church office in Hamilton Green, or at the school offices at Arbroath High School and Arbroath Academy.
