A Kirriemuir man has become an internet hit after saving a kitten he found abandoned in woods.
Callum Robertson found the cat on Tuesday and has since posted its progress online.
Close to death, Callum popped the tiny fur ball into his pocket in a bid to keep it warm.
In his first post, which received nearly 300,000 likes on Facebook, he said: “Today at work I heard a meow and found a kitten about two weeks old abandoned in some woods, lying there dying in the rain…
“I kept her in my pocket all day to make sure she was kept warm and safe, I’ve brought her home and feeding her milk and making sure she will be alright!”Post by Callum Robertson.The next day he posted: “Just an update on the kitten. She is breathing normally finally and is resting on a furry blanket wrapped around a hot water bottle.
“We are taking the little one to the vets tomorrow to check up on her, but everything is looking positive for the kitten to survive.
