Dundee have announced the signing of 19-year-old Dylan Carreiro.
The attacker joins the Dark Blues after a successful trial period with the club which included closed-door games with the Under-20 team.
Carreiro started off his footballing career with Toronto FC at the age of 15, before joining QPR two years later.
The Canadian has played for both his country’s Under-17 and Under-20 teams.
On the signing, Dark Blues managing director John Nelms said: “Dylan is a fine young player with loads of potential. He will be part of our building for the future.
“We are looking to add young players like Dylan who will be the bricks in the foundation of Dundee Football Club for many years to come.
Paul Hartley told the club’s website: “I think he’s a promising player. He’s had a good upbringing, where he’s come from.
“We like what we have seen. He’s got good potential, an attacking player who will work towards our first team.
“He’s got something a bit different, he plays just off the front.”
