A six-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after falling 16ft from an escalator at the Wellgate Shopping Centre.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the boy crashed to the ground while apparently playing on a moving escalator.
The incident happened near the BHS store on the second floor of the Dundee shopping centre.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We attended the incident at 12.52pm on Monday after a report a young boy who had jumped off the outside of an escalator in the Wellgate from about 15 or 16ft.
“He was taken to Ninewells Hospital with concussion and stayed overnight for observation.”
