Tayside was battered by heavy storms this afternoon with some areas experiencing thunder and lightning.
Dark clouds descended over the region with rumbles of thunder and rain pouring from the sky.
One Tele reader sent in the above video clip which captured several lightning strikes above the Angus sky.
Forks of lightning can be seen followed seconds later by loud roars of thunder.
While the heavy storms were brief, the Met office has predicted more outbreaks of rain across Dundee, Perthshire, Angus and North Fife this evening.
The heaviest rain is set to fall in more built-up areas, where the temperatures are generally a couple degrees higher, and the rain is set to continue into the weekend.
The stormy weather is a result of a build-up of very warm and humid air.
