A man has died after a road accident north-west of Perth.
A member of the public found the vehicle around 5.30am today having apparently crashed on an unclassified road between Pitcairngreen and Dalcrue.
It’s believed the one-vehicle collision may have happened some hours earlier in the morning as the car’s engine was cold when emergency services arrived.
The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement, a spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “A red Ford Ka was the only vehicle involved in the incident and sadly the driver, an elderly man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The road has been closed and diversions are in place whilst investigations continue to establish the full circumstances.”
