A teacher who filmed a teenager in the shower was jailed for 18 months on Friday.
Computing and IT teacher at Forfar Academy, Gordon Milne, 33, was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years at Dundee Sheriff Court.
The court heard Milne set up a camera in a bathroom and filmed a teenager having a shower.
And it heard he had more than 1,500 images of child porn when police searched his home at the time of the offence, in South Street, Forfar.
Milne now of Old Wood Farm, Rait, Perthshire was suspended by Angus Council as soon as the allegations came to light.
Fiscal depute Keith Robertson told the court Milne first came to the attention of police after they received information he had been accessing indecent images of children online.
The fiscal said: “Computer experts examined his laptop and as a result a further search warrant was obtained because indecent images of children were found as well as a video of a teenager being recorded in a bathroom.
“The victim was unaware that they had been filmed naked in the shower.”
The footage was found on Milne’s mobile phone, which he had used to create the recording.
In total 1,535 images were recovered, as well as 13 videos.
Milne pleaded guilty on indictment to possessing indecent images of children and taking or making indecent photographs of children between November 2011 and January last year.
Sheriff Tom Hughes said: “There were heartbreaking consequences for the person you were involved with who placed a considerable amount of trust in you.
“You completely and utterly breached that trust and that is extremely serious.”
