A 12-year-old boy is flying the flag for the Dundee FC youth academy.
Barnhill pupil Grady McGrath was one of the thousands who ran on to the pitch as the referee blew the final whistle in the 2-1 victory over Dumbarton which secured the Championship title and promotion to the Premiership.
He ended up with a souvenir of the big day in the form of one of the corner flags.
With the help of his parents Dylan and Adele, Grady put the flag on eBay and watched as the bidding war erupted in the final hours.
It ending with a last offer of 265 – money which the schoolboy has donated to the club.
“We were delighted to receive this money from Grady,” said director of football John Nelms.
“Instead of keeping a piece of memorabilia he wanted to invest something back in to the club and we really appreciate that.
“Our supporters have been fantastic all season, and it’s things like this that inspires everyone here to continue to work hard every day and deliver the kind of football club that the fans deserve.”
