Steven Anderson will line up at the heart of the St Johnstone defence away to Kilmarnock in the knowledge a big year lies ahead.
The 28-year-old has been granted a testimonial for his 10 years of service to the Perth club.
With a Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen at Ibrox also on the horizon, the versatile defender has a lot to look forward to.
Anderson will be in direct opposition to Killie striker Kris Boyd who feels his side can make life difficult for Saints.
“Rugby Park is a tough place for anybody to come and I fancy us to finish the season strongly,” he said.
Saints left-back Brian Easton is delighted with the way his first season with the club has gone.
He said: “It’s been a great season so far and it can get better.
“We have a right good team that has got into the top six and reached two cup semi-finals.
“It’s a bit different from last season when I was with a struggling Dundee side and I’m enjoying every minute of it.”
Meanwhile, Herbalife, through Scott and Nicola Walker of Ultimate Wellness, have been announced as the main sponsor of Steven Anderson’s testimonial.
