A woman was rushed to hospital today after she was hit by a bus in Fife.
St Andrews bus station was closed for over an hour following the accident, which left the 25-year-old with a “serious leg injury”.
She was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance after she was involved in the collision, which happened when she left one bus and was struck by another.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We got the call at 8.40am this morning for a female who had been knocked over by a bus.
“She was 25 years old and from St Andrews.
“The female had come off one bus and been hit by another.
“On police arrival we stopped vehicles from entering or leaving the bus station, because it happened at the entrance to the station.
“It was reopened at 10.10am.
“Inquiries are ongoing. The roads policing unit are dealing with the accident investigation.”
