St Johnstone will be without former Dundee defender Brian Easton for the New Year’s Day encounter away to Motherwell.
He sustained a hamstring injury against Dundee United and could also miss the match away to Ross County on Saturday.
And Chris Millar could also be missing due to a groin injury.
However, Dave Mackay, left out of the United game due to a calf injury received against Celtic, should be fit enough to resume against Motherwell.
The 3-0 win over United represented Saints’ 14th clean sheet of the season with Alan Mannus being in goal for 13 of them.
The Northern Ireland international goalkeeper was watched yesterday by his national boss Michael O’Neill and he again turned in a decent show.
Saints have been linked with a move for Bolton forward Michael O’Halloran.
The former Scotland U/17, U/19 and U/21 player has yet to appear for Bolton in the league but has played in the League Cup. He has been on loan at Sheffield United, Carlisle and Tranmere.
He played seven times for Sheffield United, once for Carlisle and 23 times for Tranmere for whom he netted three times.
O’Halloran also netted for United in the penalty shootout of a League One play-off final which they failed to win.
Meanwhile, Saints have revealed they have delivered over 1,000 sessions in their 2013 community coaching programme with in excess of 20,800 taking part.
