Dundee are considering an appeal against Iain Davidson’s red card.
The defender was dismissed two minutes into added on time at the end of the Dark Blues’ 1-0 win over promotion rivals Alloa Athletic.
Davidson was deemed to have struck a Wasps player, possibly with his foot, after an aerial dual in the Dundee half of the field.
Although referee Euan Anderson did not see the incident, his linesman did and advised the man in the middle to give Davo his marching orders for violent conduct.
The club reviewed video evidence of the incident on Saturday evening and are set to do so again today before deciding whether to lodge an appeal with the SFA.
Manager John Brown said: “We’ve yet to decide whether to appeal it.
“I definitely thought it was a harsh one.
“After the game I spoke to the officials and they said there was intent there however, I beg to differ.
“At the end of the day, the referee has made his decision whether we agree with it or not luckily it didn’t cost us on the day.
“We have got videos of it and, at first view, the incident is inconclusive.
“I think the two went for the ball, collided and came down.
“Davo is meant to have kicked their boy in the face but even he came out of the home dressing-room and said he didn’t.
“We just have to deal with their decision.”
Bomber was delighted, though, with the performance of his players, who bounced back from the disappointment of the Cowdenbeath defeat with a hard-fought win.
“There are not many teams will come here and get something so we’re delighted,” said the gaffer.
“They are a solid unit who work for each other.
“Paul Hartley has done fantastic here they’ve taken us to the wire on three occasions with a part-time team training a couple of times a week.
“We knew the December spell going into January was a key one for us.
“I was very critical of the players last week but, on Saturday, they did really well.
“We stuck at it, it wasn’t easy at times but when you have a player who scores goals up top like Peter MacDonald you always have a chance.
“Ten goals this season already, I expect him to get 20.
“He has not been in the best of form of late but he got his goal.”
