St Johnstone look like again being minus leg injury victim Dave Mackay for the game away to Ross County tomorrow.
The knock forced him to miss out the away win at Hibs and Steven Anderson, who performed creditably against the Easter Road side, is set to deputise.
“I don’t think Dave will make it and, tomorrow’s game might come too soon for Chris Millar, too,” said Saints boss Steve Lomas.
County have picked up 14 points from their last six games and Steve was at Dens to see them beat Dundee 2-0 last Friday.
“They are a very effective unit who have added quality players in the transfer window.
“We face a very tough game but we are looking forward to it as we are playing well ourselves.”
Three of Saints’ new acquisitions Mehdi Abeid, Michael Doughty and Gwion Edwards will be in the squad with Abeid set to start again.
“One thing I like about these three lads is they were prepared to come on loan from English Premier League clubs as they are getting the chance to play.
“They could have sat in the comfort of their clubs knowing they weren’t going to be getting first team football but they have upped sticks and come north for the chance to show what they can do at SPL level.”
County will include Richard Brittain, who has signed a pre-contract with Saints, but Iain Vigurs is out.
