St Johnstone boss manager Steve Lomas says the shine will be taken off the win over Hibs should they fail to beat Ross County on Saturday.
Saints rightly won praise for their 3-1 Easter Road success.
Steve was delighted at the way his side brushed Hibs aside and was quick to stress “there are a lot of positives to be taken from the performance”.
However, he’s pressing the point to his squad they must seek to maintain that high standard.
Earlier this season, they ended Ross County’s 40-game unbeaten record when they won in Dingwall and they are keen to make it two wins in a row there.
“I’m telling the players not to get carried away and I’m sure they won’t,” said Steve.
“We’re up to fourth in the SPL and are within striking distance of second.”
Dave Mackay should be fit to return to the squad following a calf knock.
Steven Anderson turned in a good performance in his place against Hibs and it remains to be seen whether or not he’ll keep the shirt.
Saints, who earlier this week signed winger Marcus Maddison on a deal until the season’s end after his release from Newcastle, have added another youngster to their pool. He’s Scott-Taylor MacKenzie who has been let go by Livingston.
