Scott set for dream debut
A 45-minute run-out behind closed doors tomorrow will tell Dundee United if they can give Scott Severin his dream debut against old club Aberdeen at Tannadice on Saturday (writes Tom Duthie).
The Tangerines were delighted to add the 31-year-old to their squad on deadline day last week, but, having been out of the first-team picture at Watford, knew in the short term match fitness could be a problem.

Bob kept Dundee alive
Perhaps the biggest achievement of Bob Brannan’s tenure as Dundee chairman is simply this — there was still a club for someone else to take over (writes Tom Duthie).
No-one should be in any doubt that when, in the summer of 2004, former owner Peter Marr invited life-long fan and, more significantly, experienced businessman Brannan to take on the chairman’s role, it was not certain there’d be a Dundee FC in six months time, never mind six years.
