| The leader of Dundee City Council today described calls for a blanket traffic ban around schools as “impractical”.
Living Streets, a national pedestrian charity, is calling for vehicle exclusion zones inside playgrounds and around school gates to encourage a safer environment for pupils walking to school.
However, Councillor Ken Guild said the scheme would be extremely difficult to implement across all the schools in the city.
