Dee pull plug on Harris deal
Dundee today pulled the plug on their attempt to sign Queen of the South defender Bob Harris (writes Sean Hamilton).
While it had initially been reported the Dumfries club had rejected a formal £30,000 plus one of four players bid, it is now understood the deal actually never got beyond the discussion stage following Queens boss Kenny Brannigan’s public outburst on Saturday.

David’s coming good at the right time
Star striker David Goodwillie is hitting top form exactly at the right time for Dundee United — that’s the opinion of coach Gary Kirk (writes Tom Duthie).
With gaffer Peter Houston away having a look at SPL new boys Inverness, who come to Tannadice later this month, Kirk and Paul Hegarty were in charge for the comprehensive friendly win at Forfar.

They only used Goodwillie in the second half, but 45 minutes was long enough for him to grab a double to take his tally to four goals in the last three friendlies.

Deasley edging closer to Forfar move
Former Dundee striker Bryan Deasley is set to try to rebuild his career by heading for the familiar territory of Forfar’s Station Park (writes Tom Duthie).
Having been told he was surplus to requirements at Dens Park at the end of last season, Deasley finally negotiated a severance package with the Dark Blues last weekend.
