| He’s already a regular at the event, for purely professional reasons, but for the three girls and their big brother Andrew (26), it will be the first time they’ve all attended the festival together.
One of the threesome though, Lindsay, will be joining Craig in uniform, having joined Tayside Police earlier this year.
It’s her first official visit to the festival although she did drive down last year to collect her sister Claire, who was enjoying her first T weekend.
“I was a taxi service last year, but I’ve never actually been to it,” said Lindsay.
Lindsay and Claire still live at home with their parents while Gillian lives nearby. The triplets were born 10 weeks premature in Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital on January 12, 1987.
It was three months before they were all at home with brother Andrew, who now works at the hospital as a physiotherapist.
Gillian is the only triplet to have lasting difficulties due to her early arrival. She was the smallest at birth, weighing just 3 lb 1 oz. Nevertheless she lives independently and works at Finmill after-school club in Fintry.
Sister Claire has just finished her law diploma and will start training with a firm in Aberdeen next year. Meanwhile, she works part-time in Tesco Riverside.
Lindsay completed a degree in sports biomedicine at Dundee University last year before joining the police. She is a community officer in the Hilltown.
With Lindsay swapping her beat for the tented village at Balado, and her sisters free to let their hair down and enjoy the bands, they’re all keeping their fingers crossed there’ll be no embarrassing dad dancing from Craig.
Lindsay added, “I will be working at the opposite side of where he is, then he can’t tell me what to do.” |
