Man killed in Fife two-car crash
A man has died following a crash in Dunfermline. The accident happened at about 9.48pm yesterday on Halbeath Road, the main road into Dunfermline from the east.
It involved a collision between a BMW car and a Land Rover. The driver of the BMW died. It is understood the man, who has not yet been named, was not from Fife. The driver of the Land Rover escaped with minor injuries.

n The A94 Forfar to Perth road was closed for a short time today after a car fire near Eassie. Two fire crews were called to the scene at 5.50am after the blaze in the engine of a Vauxhall Safira. It was quickly extinguished. No one was injured and the road was re-opened, with the scene cleared by 8am.

n Police in Angus are seeking the driver of a car after an incident that left a teenager with a broken leg. The 18-year-old was in an accident with a southbound car, possibly a green Renault, after he got off a bus on the A92 Arbroath to Montrose road shortly before 3pm yesterday.

A Tayside Police spokesperson said, “The injured male was taken to Ninewells Hospital, in Dundee. We are appealing for any witnesses to contact police on 0300 111 2222.”

n A Fife biker, injured in a crash near St Michael’s on Friday, was understood to be still receiving treatment at Ninewells Hospital today.

Fife police have not named the man, believed to be from the Leuchars area. His machine was in a collision with a Nissan Almera on the A914 St Michaels to Drumoig road at around 4:20pm. He suffered serious leg injuries.
