| The document, released just over two weeks after Mary’s body was found on a city centre roadside verge, states that the sole cause of death was “neck compression (strangulation)”.Grandmother-to-be Mary (34) vanished last month after a night out in Fat Sam’s with her sister, Michelle Rodger, sparking a massive missing persons inquiry.
Her family’s anxiety turned to grief when her remains were found on a tree-covered embankment near the Ladywell Roundabout, in the city centre, on March 10.
The death certificate also stated that she was found at 8.25pm.
As Mary’s family prepares for her funeral in Linlathen on Wednesday, tributes have continued to pour in to a web page set up in her memory.
Many of the messages on the Bebo page are from strangers, with one writing, “All I can say is that I’m sorry I never met you in person, but I hope your at peace now … Thoughts with all who are connected to you.”
Referring to this week’s funeral, her sister Lisa Hendry wrote, “Love you millions big sis and miss you. Finally babe you will be at peace on Weds, always in our hearts, never forgotten xxxxxxx”
Mary lived in Rowantree Crescent with husband Scott (40), heavily pregnant daughter Sarah Jane (17) and sons Aaron (14) and Dylan (10).
Her family, including distraught mum Margaret McIntosh, and friends laid memorial flowers at the spot where the body was found to mark what would have been the former Kingspark pupil’s 35th birthday. |
