Woman’s body found in Dundee
Police searching for missing Dundee mum Mary McLaren have found the body of a woman in undergrowth in the north Marketgait area of the city (writes Graeme Ogston).

Officers made the grim discovery to the north of Ladywell roundabout in the city centre at around 3pm this afternoon.

The area has been cordoned off to allow investigators to examine the scene.

Significant numbers of officers were stationed in the vicinity of the Ladywell Roundabout, with traffic access restricted.

Police were visible on the embankment overlooking the roundabout, with officers also stationed near the entrance to the Marketgait tunnel.

The 34-year-old mother of three has been missing for nearly two weeks.

The last confirmed sighting of Mary was with a man in Marketgait East, near to its junction with King Street, at around 3am on Thursday 25 February.
