| The BT manager, who had been visiting staff in the city, found her trip home to London was a very important one for airline CityJet because she was its 100,000th passenger since taking over the service.
To mark the occasion, Ms Davies was presented with two free tickets by CityJet representative Kath Townley and airport manager Derrick Lang.
The service between Dundee and London City airport was established in 1999 by Suckling Airways, which then became Scot Airways.
CityJet took over in September 2007 and has been averaging between 700 and 800 passengers per week since then.
It operates four flights Monday to Friday, scheduled to appeal particularly to business travellers.
CityJet chief executive Geoffrey O’Byrne White said, “We are really pleased to have reached our target of 100,000 passengers on the Dundee route.
“Scotland is key to our business and we are committed to ensuring we offer our passengers the most efficient way of travelling to London.
“To have reached this goal in such tough trading conditions is a testament to the tenacity of everyone on the CityJet team who has helped make this a success.” |
