Family fears mount for missing Dundee mum
Missing person posters went up in Dundee today as police attempt to trace a mum of three who hasn’t been seen since Thursday (writes Graeme Ogston).
Mary McLaren, (34), Rowantree Crescent, has been missing since the early hours of Thursday after a visit to Fat Sams nightclub with her sister.

She was last seen with a man in the city’s King Street around 3am. Police hope the posters will jog someone’s memory.

Mary’s increasingly concerned family yesterday distributed their own missing person poster around the city.

Meanwhile, police issued a direct appeal for her to come forward.

A spokeswoman said, “We just need to know Mary is safe and well. That doesn’t necessarily mean that she has to contact her family. We can respect her right to confidentiality.”

Her distressed family said yesterday, her disappearance was “totally out of character”.

When last seen, Mary was wearing a black and white dress, black leggings, white duffel coat and flat black shoes. She was carrying a black handbag and a large inflatable pink toy. She is 5’2”, has long brown hair, blue eyes and walks with a limp. The man with her wore dark clothes and a jacket with white reflective piping.

Anyone with information about Mary should contact police on 0300 111 2222 or any officer.
