Harris Academy drug probe
Police in Dundee are investigating an allegation that a Harris Academy pupil snorted amphetamine off a desk during a lesson.
It is not known whether the 14-year-old boy, who was checked by medics at Ninewells Hospital, has returned to the school.

A spokesman for Tayside Police said, “Officers attended at a secondary school in Dundee on Wednesday after receiving a call from a member of staff about an incident in a class at about 11.55am. As a result, a boy was taken to Accident and Emergency as a precaution, where he was checked and allowed away. Inquiries into the circumstances are continuing and a report will be submitted to the Reporter to the Children’s Panel.”

A spokesman for Dundee City Council’s education department said, “We have taken appropriate action by calling the police, who are investigating.”
